About me

You can’t afford to drop the ball

My job is to take the noise off your plate so you can focus on the work that needs you most. Feeling that happy “Ahhhh” when you open your inbox.

Drum roll, please…

I’m Helen Raw. Animal lover and forensic nerd.

I manage emails, meetings and admin for time-poor founders and professionals. Plus, I fix the simple tech behind them so that everything runs smoother.

My favourite question to ask new clients is: “What’s driving you mental?” Tell me that, and I will get you back on track.

Why people hire me

They want senior PA judgement and someone who will actually set things up and keep them tidy. That hybrid is my sweet spot.

Emails and calendar: checked twice a day, Monday to Friday. Priority flagged. Templated replies ready.

Simple tech fixes: like setting up a Google Workspace from scratch, building Jotform or Google Forms that feed your sheets or CRM, setting up Mailchimp campaigns, and light website admin on Wix or WordPress.

Straight talking: I will ask the obvious questions, cut the wishy-washy, and keep things practical.

Some background that explains my approach

I grew up in a Navy family, but even when Dad was away for long stints, home life was stable thanks to Mum. The real “drop me anywhere and I’ll get on with it” muscle came later. From 18, I spent 20 years as a professional temp, walking into new workplaces and making sense of the moving parts, quickly.

I’ve also kept productions on track, chaired children’s hearings and hold an honours degree in Forensic Psychobiology. That blend has taught me to stay calm, respect the process, and care about people.

If something is messy, I’ll give it a go, find the fastest fix, and keep you informed without the drama.

Why “Raw and Order”

It is my surname and my thing! I bring order to whatever is running away from you, with a light nod to the forensic side of my background.

What it is like to work with me

I keep it simple so nothing slips

\

One channel

Send me an email with whatever you need for faster answers.

\

Clear rules

We write a few together, then I follow them every day.

\

Fast, focused time

I can do more in two hours than the average person.

If your tools are slowing you down, I will say so. Gmail or Google Workspace is my preference for inbox efficiency. But, I do have a lot of experience with Outlook, as well (it’s just not my preferred platform!).

Proof you can feel good about

  • CPD-certified VA & approved member of the SVA.
  • Forensic sciences background and real-world exposure to sensitive work.
  • Children’s hearings experience that proves calm judgement, confidentiality and compassion.
  • Cross-sector operations and production work in public, private and third sectors.

Values that guide my work

Integrity, reliability, honesty and tenacity, with a little humour where it helps. I will never drown you in fluff. I will always tell you the simple, useful thing.

Is this you?

Your inbox is a headache. Your calendar runs you. Your tools make simple tasks slow. You want someone discreet who sets clear rules and keeps to them. If that is you, you are in the right place.

A little human, since you asked

Born in England, made in Scotland. I’ve lived in Fife, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow, and a few miles further afield in Los Angeles and Minnesota.

I’ve run science and CSI workshops for kids in the past, and although my home is currently very busy with my cat and dog home-boarding business, over the years I’ve fostered 39 dogs and cats in total.

You’re probably beginning to see that I like to keep myself busy with lots of passions and interests! So I’m sure you’ll understand when I say that I like to keep things in order and work with clients who value straight talking.

On busy days, I am 100% running on caffeine (and Haribo Tangfastics).

Ready to get this off your mind?

Fill out the enquiry form and let me know what’s driving you mental right now.

I’ll reply within two business days with either “Sorry, I can’t help” or “Let’s book a call”.

And if you need me to herd cats or juggle squirrels, give me a shout!
